As an 8th Degree Black Belt and Head Instructor, Grandmaster Williams has dedicated his life to developing complete and well-rounded martial artists. His approach combines traditional martial arts with practical self-defense, striking, grappling, wrestling, weapons training, fitness, competition, and character development.
His teaching philosophy goes far beyond kicking and punching. Grandmaster Williams believes martial arts should help students develop discipline, respect, confidence, humility, perseverance, leadership, self-control, and a strong work ethic. His goal is to prepare students not only to perform inside the dojo, but also to become stronger individuals outside of it.
Grandmaster Williams also served as a pastor for 20 years, and his Christian faith remains central to his life, family, leadership, and approach to martial arts instruction. DWCMAP is a Christian-centered dojo where students are encouraged to train hard, live with integrity, serve others, respect those around them, and honor God through their actions.
Alongside his wife and Co-Owner, Mrs. Glenda Williams, Grandmaster Williams has worked to make DWCMAP more than a martial arts school. Together they have built a family-centered environment where children, teens, adults, parents, instructors, and coaches can train, grow, and support one another.
Family is an important part of the DWCMAP story. Grandmaster Williams and Mrs. Glenda are the proud parents of Six daughters, including Jillian and Abby, whose presence and involvement help reflect the family-centered spirit and continuing legacy of DWCMAP.
For Grandmaster Williams, earning a Black Belt is not simply about achieving a rank. It represents years of knowledge, discipline, commitment, character, perseverance, and personal growth. His mission is to help every willing student develop the confidence and ability to reach their full potential and ultimately earn the honor and responsibility of becoming a Black Belt.
Train Hard. Live Right. Honor God.
