WHAT EXACTLY IS BOXING?
Dating back to the Olympic games in the late 7th century BC, boxing is a combat sport in which two people, wearing gloves and other protective equipment, strategically throw punches at each other, while attempting to avoid punches being thrown at them. The two participants perform in a boxing ring of various sizes and the terms of victory are mutually decided upon before the match.
Time intervals, otherwise known as rounds, are typically three minutes in duration, with one minute of rest in between rounds. The number of rounds typically varies depending on experience level.
